Production of Copper Powder by Reduction Method (Irregular)

In this method the raw material copper oxide scales from copper wire are reduced by reducing gases such as hydrogen. The reduced cakes are pulverized and sieved to obtained powders having a desired particle size distribution

To obtain high purity, particulate copper of high purity (chopped scrap) was oxidized to form cuprous or cupric oxide or a mixture of both. Reduced copper powder generally exhibits an irregular shape.

Production of Copper Powder by Electrolytic Process (Dendritic)

Copper Powder is produced from a dilute solution of copper sulphate and sulphuric acid using copper anodes and stainless steel and copper cathodes. The depositing conditions are so adjusted as to yield powdery or spongy deposits which are brushed down and removed from the cathodes. Due to the process parameters and preparation we can offer a wide range of different grades from low apparent density (AD) 0.7 gms/cc to high (AD) 3.2 gms/cc.

Electrolytic powder has a high level of purity because of its refining process and it has a dendritic structure. The powder properties depend on the process parameters such as a concentration of copper sulphate and sulphuric acid, current density, temperature of the solution and the frequency of removal of deposited powder. Thus steady process control, process development for efficiency and strict quality control guarantee constant superior quality of our products.

Production of Tin Powder by Atomization Method

Tin Powder is produced by allowing a molten metal to flow through an orifice into a thin stream and disintegrating the stream into the powders using high velocity jets of compressed air. Hence, fine tin powder is produced.
